Through its seven participating universities, CIEAM’s postgraduate program offers top-up scholarships for PhD and Masters students to pursue research and innovation in asset management
Representing an integral element of CIEAM’s Research Programs, postgraduate studies are supervised by industry experts as well as scholars in academia.
To date, CIEAM’s post graduate students have been employed by a variety of asset intensive industry sectors, including water, power generation, mining, oil and gas, and engineering services. Others have followed an academic career in Australian universities.
As a leading international research and education centre, CIEAM delivers grassroots asset management training for general industry and government audiences, as well as specialised, tailored courses for industry participants.
Through its research activities, CIEAM has developed a substantial body of knowledge (BOK) in asset management. Consisting of themes specific to asset management, such as reliability, planning and budgeting, as well as a suite of PhD and Masters theses, plus twelve modules forming a framework of asset management, the BOK form the basis of CIEAM’s industry training courses.
CIEAM is also in the process of developing an e-Learning graduate course in asset management, which aims to provide industry practitioners with a degree qualification as well as in-depth training in the field.
