The sharing and subsequent utilisation of research outcomes is one of the main aims of any CRC. CIEAM’s research and development in the field of engineering asset management has generated a rich body of knowledge that continues to grow.
Why Infrastructure Sustainability is Good for Your Business
While Australia’s cities struggle with increasing congestion, inadequate
transport systems, and ageing underground services, many of our regional areas are either in economic decline, or are under pressure from population influx due to the resources boom — with consequent sky rocketing property values, poor services, and social inequity.
The case for embedding sustainability as a business driver for commercial and residential buildings is now well established … However, the business case for infrastructure sustainability is less well understood, despite infrastructure being critical in supporting economic security and societal well-being.
This guideline demonstrates that embedding a culture of sustainability throughout the infrastructure delivery and management process will not only achieve public good outcomes, but will add bottom line value to your project, your organisation, and to society.
