Programme Overview
Strategic Human Dimensions focuses on the human dimensions of engineering asset management and the interaction and integration with the operations, systems and allied technical architecture required to manage and maintain engineering assets.
This pivotal research programme brings together practitioners, engineering scientists and specialists from disciplines such as human resource management, human factors and business management to address industry generated problems. Its aims are to foster engagement with institutional, academic and industry stakeholders to promote an integrated, strategic approach to engineering asset management and maintenance.
Strategic Human Dimensions is working to:
- Build capacity in industry,
- Create organisational structures and designs that are allied to technical change, and
- Understand the requirements for strategic human resource and business management in the area of engineering asset management and maintenance.
