December 14, 2011 CIEAM Conference
Each year CIEAM gathers its far-flung community to come together, network and compare notes on achievements for the preceding twelve months. The tradition has continued in 2011, with staff, participants and special guests of the centre congregating at Sheraton Noosa Resort for a three day symposium in the first week of November. The conference also incorporated the annual forum of the Australian Asset Management Collaborative Group (AAMCoG).

Launched by the Chairman, Des Pearson during the AAMCoG annual forum at the 2011 CIEAM conference, the guide is based on the Australasian Procurement and Construction Council Inc.’s (APCC) publication, Asset Management 2001. It reflects advances in asset management since the previous guide was developed and aims to bring it in line with the contemporary asset management environment.
December 14, 2011 David Hood – President elect of EA
We are very proud that the Co-leader of CIEAM’s Sustainability and Organisational Performance Program, Adjunct Professor, David Hood, is the incoming national President of Engineers Australia. Taking over the role of current President Merv Lindsay on 1 January 2012, it’s probably no surprise to the CIEAM family that David plans to make sustainability one of the major themes of his presidency.

You’ll hear from experts in collaboration and find out about how better collaboration can help your ideas have a greater impact. There will also be a new approach to the CRC award program. Stay tuned for details. In the mean time, register now to secure your place.
December 14, 2011 Call for contributions
Do you have a story you’d like to share with the CIEAM community?
Maybe your project has made a major research breakthrough. Or perhaps you presented a highly successful paper at a recent conference – or had a book chapter published. Perhaps you have come across some highly relevant international research that you’d like to share.
If you have something of interest that you’d like to see published in the next newsletter, please send your 2003-300 word submission directly to the editor via email. We’d love to hear from you!

July 4, 2011 Putting CIEAM in the spotlight
Have you ever mentioned CIEAM to colleagues, business partners, or even friends and family, only to receive blank looks? It’s probably not too surprising, given the niche area in which we operate, but it is a concern that our target markets don’t even know we exist. As we ramp up our efforts towards commercialisation, raising the profile of CIEAM has never been more important. There are a range of modes, means and channels for achieving this.
